“Minimal and adaptive coordination” is the phrase being used now to describe the process that enabled successful rapid innovation in 2020. Businesses that have seen innovation accelerate this past year did not try to achieve this through schedule compression. Rather, researchers have identified that process and mindset were the driving factors that contributed to the success of the innovation.

A growth mindset is critical in times of challenge and change. Growth-mindset companies have more motivated employees, a more innovative risk-taking culture, and resilience to overcome market setbacks (Senn & Delaney—Stanford University, 2012). Leaders who embody growth mindsets have a greater ability to create, learn, and contribute; they outperform those with fixed mindsets. This talk will explore mindset and look at how leadership mindset affects others in a team.
