Paul Nikolich

Biography

Paul is an IEEE Fellow and an active technology leader, serving as Chairman of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee as well as other IEEE and industry committees.  As an angel investor, he works closely with YAS in the technology, standards, intellectual property fields, filling the role of Chief Strategy Officer since 2001. Paul serves on technology advisory boards and boards of directors of several early-stage companies. As Chairman of IEEE 802, he oversees 50 projects in wired and wireless communications networking with 800 active global members.  He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society Standards Activities Board.  In 1998 he co-founded Broadband Access Systems.  Prior to BAS, Mr. Nikolich held technical positions of increasing responsibility at several networking and technology companies beginning in 1978. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, N.Y., USA.
