Climate Change, the Fundamentals

Prof Ali Hessami (Director of R&D and Innovation, Vega Systems, UK) presented “Climate Change, the Fundamentals” on 30 October 2024 as a Guest Lecture at a UK and Ireland SSIT Chapter Meeting. This lecture was moderated by Miriam Cunningham, UK and Ireland SSIT Chapter Chair.

Guest Lecture Focus

This lecture provided a foundational coverage of climate science covering the natural earth cycle, Green House effect, Green House Gases, the trends etc. This is the first of a two part Climate lectures intended to inform, lay the foundation and enable attendees to explore the impact of CO2 and other GHGs emissions on the global temperature rise through a climate simulator (En-ROADS). The second part of the lecture series is scheduled on 16 January 2025.
